Christmas!

Just wondering what everyone's plans are for Christmas. Staying home? Travelling to see family or friends? I'm also curious about what traditions everyone has. :biggrin2:

My parents live only about 20 minutes away from me, so I'll be spending Christmas with them. My nephew just turned 3, so I'm looking forward to watching him open his presents. :wub2:

Oh, and Christmas trees! I didn't put one up at home this year (:sad:) but this is the one I have at work:

Ah, Christmas.

Christmas is always very different for me.
I spend it with my family, which I believe is what Christmas is about, but then it's different in the fact that some of my family aren't here with us anymore... so, I suppose that the essence of Christmas has changed, but the routine is always the same...

I also believe December is a great month to reflect on all the successes and failures that have occurred in the year. It makes me feel that I can start afresh in the new year.

Of course, I also like receiving presents, we all do, but it also gives me a sense of joy to give gifts. Not just physical gifts, but gifts of laughter, and it's also important to create memories.

I have many traditions at Christmas;
I drink many glasses of Baileys. Eat Christmas dinner. Fill myself up on mince pies. Always put the Christmas tree up about a week before Christmas. Avoid blue Christmas lights....

And generally feel at peace surrounded by my family... :wub2:
