So.. it's about time that I do a write up. I'm really bad at remembering things but I'll try my hardest! :)
So, the fete was originally meant to be on the field at the front of the school, but it rained so much throughout the day so it got moved to the sports hall, which is where Sam ended up performing.
Their train was slightly delayed, but I didn't know this at the time as I sat waiting in reception, then I was thinking that they might of gone in the other entrance so I went outside (it wasn't raining), then it started raining, a lot. I got sort of soaked, but I didn't really mind :L
Then I went to where the fete was, and fought my way through teachers who were too busy shouting at others who were going the same way as me to even notice me. Then I decided I wanted to back to reception, but couldn't get through on my own, so my media teacher 'escorted' me, haha :P
I waited for a little while longer and then noticed it wasn't raining, so decided to go outside and watch for them to turn up, and all of a sudden I spotted someone with a guitar bag and I was like :O YAY! So I walked over, said hi :)
Then we had to walk the whole way round the school as they weren't letting you back in the front doors, I told Sam how I'd heard someone I knew saying that she was only waiting to see Sam because he looked fit, and he just laughed! :)
We got to the doors, and walked in, and everyone started staring, I think they thought I was just following Sam around like a crazy fangirl but then they realised I was with him! :L We went into the sports hall and I found a few of my closest friends and they were all like :O he's hot. LOL.
Sam, Patrick and James spoke to the teachers who were in charge of music etc for the fete, and Sam did a little soundcheck. I distinctly remember a moment when Sam found a rounders bat, and was swinging it around, and a couple of boys from my school came over and they were like 'who are you' to Sam, and I said, 'oh, he's here to play rounders, didn't you know?' Then Sam pretended to strum the rounders bat and joked about how its louder when it's plugged in, they ran off after that.. I wonder why.. :P
A few of my friends were like Megan can I have a photo with him, I was like why are you asking me? Ask Sam! :L So they had photos, and then we all started to gather into a little crowd, which began to grow:)
Mr philips announced Sam was about to perform, and said 'give it up for sam, BEEEEEETOOOOOON.' and everyone cheered, they hadn't even heard him perform!:P
He sang several songs, including Storyteller, Lie Low Lie, Rain Down On You, What You Look For, Good Natured Child & a new one called Jekyll & the Man.
When he played Jekyll & the Man I was confused as I didn't know it, but thought it must of been an old song, but he later told me it was new and I was like aw wow!
Patrick had his iPad, on which people could sign up for the free copy of Rain Down On You, and as soon as Sam mentioned this they all swarmed around Patrick :L [Also, I later on noticed that a teacher, Mr Heppell, was signing up for the track. He asked where he could get My Doll, and Patrick said that it hadn't been released. And I interrupted with, well, you would get it if you signed up to the record club, which I then described to him :P ]
In between songs Sam spoke quite a bit, it was cute. There was a funny moment when he walked over to turn the speaker as it was pointing the wrong way and he couldn't hear himself, and his guitar wire wasn't quite long enough, and he sort of jumped, hehe:)
Sam also said after a few songs that it was down to me that he was there, and made me stand up and 'be embarassed'. The people who I don't really talk to much who were obsessing over him were like HOW DO YOU KNOW HIM. So I said oh, we're best friends. :L I told Sam that later on and he just laughed :')
After the school gig a few more people had photos. And then we noticed they'd brought the stocks in which were previously being used for Soak The Tecaher, so Sam got in them, that was funny!

After that he went and played some Basketball :)
Then we had to leave.....
Sadly, I have to leave my house now so I'll leave it at that, and tell you about my actual house gig tomorrow probably, :) Sorry about the length of this write up..
